Storage:

  • Dried oregano should be kept in a cool, dark place in a tightly-sealed container. Buy the amount that you think you will be able to use within six months.

Portioning:

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano = 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. 1 teaspoon of dried oregano = 1 teaspoon of liquid oregano.

How to use when cooking:

  • You can add dried oregano during cooking to really add flavor to your dish. The aroma will not be lost, but taken on.

Tomato Sauce (for Pizza)

To make the tomato sauce, put peeled tinned tomatoes (or alternatively: sieved tomatoes) with garlic, basil, salt, pepper oregano and olive oil into the mixer and purée everything together thoroughly. 
Spread the tomato sauce thinly over the rolled out pizza dough and then top the pizza according to taste.
